The Helmets are made of Silvered Steel and Brass.

Any size complete with all fittings. Cost �450 plus postage.

Repro Home Service Helmets Other Ranks

At last I have been able to source a manufacturer of quality Home Service Helmets complete with all metal work.

The Helmets are made of pressed and stiffened felt with a covering of blue wool napped cloth. The shape is excellent and the helmets are waterproof and strong. Supplied to and used by British Army bands and Cadet bands.

Any size complete with all fittings. Specify brass, bright electro gilt plate (modern Army requirement - not to be polished), or bright nickel plate. Fitings comprise a pair of rosettes, a crosspiece, a spike or a ball ornament (ball not available in brass), and a curbcahin on black leather. Cost �250 plus postage.

Sets of fittings separately at �160 per set.

White Pith helmet

I have found a small supply of these helmets

Made by 'The Thin Red Line' from a very thin fibre galss plastic shell. High quality panelled cotton covering Green internal lining. Buff leather brim and band. Ventilator fitting will accept spike or ball ornament if required. Standard helmet is supplied with a leather chin strap. A fully adjustable leather skull cap ensures a perfect and comfortable fit. One size fits all. Max headsize approx 75cm.

White helmet with domed ventilator, covered in white and with buff leather band and brim, ready for whitening. Pointed or round peaks. Please specify when ordering.

Khaki helmet with domed ventilator, covered in khaki cloth with matching leather band and brim. Pointed peak only.
